Our biggest export is air!

As we’ve known since we first looked at export/import data back in 2004, PoM’s biggest export is empty containers, and has been for many years.
All of a sudden The Weekly Times has fallen upon the information, and made it front page news this week: http://www.weeklytimesnow.com.au/article/2012/03/21/458861_latest-news.html
Of course empty containers are pretty light, and empty containers vastly outnumbered our food exports….. so it makes you wonder just how crucial channel deepening for deeper draught vessels to save our export industries really was.
